The certification from the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) has been achieved by Instantor for its copper press fittings (for water and gas applications) for connecting to metallic tubes to I.S. EN 1254-7:2001 standard.

I.S. EN 1254-7:2001 sets out the technical requirements and the test methods for copper and copper-alloy press fittings used with metallic tubes, providing a recognised framework for assessing product characteristics, performance and reliability. The standard addresses a comprehensive range of performance requirements, including pressure resistance, pull-out resistance, vibration resistance, temperature cycling, vacuum resistance, long-term durability, and operating temperature and pressure limits, among others. These rigorous technical requirements provide an additional level of confidence and reassurance for installers, contractors, merchants and specifiers when selecting press-fit solutions.
