Industrial Coatings Solutions' Managing Director Brian Priestley explains: "We have been supplying primer to W.Howard since 2011, when my business first began. I've known many of the team at W.Howard for 20+ years – they're more like friends to me.
"Our water-based primer is highly pigmented and contains very high concentrations of solids, which gives it a very strong opacity. We offer both one and two-coat process options, and W.Howard opts for the two-coat, so that once it is applied it dries nice and flat and has a great finish. We also make sure that the primer has good block resistance, so that even after a very short drying time, the profiles can be removed from the oven and immediately stacked on top of each other without sticking together or damaging the primer's surface.
"That's one of the ways in which we are able to go above and beyond in supporting W.Howard and all our customers – each business has different manufacturing processes and drying times, for example, so we work closely with them all to make sure that the primers we supply perfectly match the needs of each customer's individual production line."
