New membership brings additional product compliance, testing and certification expertise to the Association’s industry community.

JP Compliance Consulting Ltd, who support manufacturers, suppliers and other organisations with product compliance, testing, certification, regulatory approval and access to UK and international markets, bring specialist regulatory and technical expertise to the Association's growing membership.

This knowledge is particularly important as manufacturers contend with evolving drinking-water requirements, different approval systems across international markets and growing expectations around evidence, traceability and product performance.

Its founder, Jonathan Price, has more than 26 years' experience in the testing, inspection and certification sector. Starting his career as a test engineer and plumber, he has held a range of technical, project management, leadership, and international business development roles.

JP Compliance Consulting works with businesses throughout the compliance journey, from interpreting standards and identifying the correct approval route to managing testing programmes, reviewing technical documentation and supporting certification applications.

Its specialist services include guidance on Water Regulation 4 compliance, the European Drinking Water Directive, TMV Type 2 and Type 3 testing and certification for thermostatic mixing valves, G3 Unvented water heater testing and certification and Regulation 31 approval for products used in contact with public drinking water supplies.

For bathroom product manufacturers, compliance is not simply an administrative exercise. It determines whether products are safe, whether they can legally enter a market and whether claims about their performance can be supported. Getting it wrong can lead to failed testing, delayed launches, additional costs and, in the most serious cases, products being withdrawn from sale.

Daphne Doody-Green, CEO of the Bathroom Association, said: "Compliance has always been fundamental to a responsible bathroom industry, but the regulatory environment is becoming increasingly complex. Manufacturers are having to understand changing requirements across different markets while continuing to develop products, control costs and respond to commercial pressures.

"Specialist affiliate members help us make sense of that landscape. JP Compliance Consulting's membership will strengthen the technical knowledge within our community and contribute to our work to raise standards across the sector. It also gives Jonathan the opportunity to hear directly from members about the compliance challenges they are facing."

Price, Founder of JP Compliance Consulting Ltd, said: "Compliance can appear complicated, particularly when a manufacturer is trying to understand several standards, approval schemes or markets at once. My aim is to make that process clearer and more manageable, helping businesses identify what is required and take the most effective route towards approval.

"Joining the Bathroom Association as an affiliate member provides an important opportunity to engage with manufacturers and the wider supply chain, understand the issues affecting them and contribute practical compliance knowledge to industry discussions.

"I have worked with bathroom and water products throughout my career, so I know how valuable it is when technical specialists, manufacturers, laboratories and certification bodies communicate openly. I look forward to sharing that experience with Association members and supporting the collective effort to maintain high standards across the sector."
