The BMF (Builders Merchants Federation) has announced nominations for three awards recognising individuals in BMF member companies who are making an exceptional contribution to the building materials sector.

Together, the three Awards – Young Merchant Achiever, Young Supplier/Service Achiever and Marketing Excellence – recognise and reward individuals working across the building materials sector whose ideas and actions have a significant impact on their business.

The shortlisted nominees for 2026 are:

Young Merchant Achiever

  • Daniel Broadhead, Tippers
  • Elliot Young, Lawsons (Whetstone)
  • Matthew Byiers, Newline Building Products
  • Sam Beach, NMBS

Young Supplier & Service Achiever

  • Costas Marcou, Ethan Mason Paving
  • Kasey Barnes, E Tupling
  • Rachel Davies, Velux
  • Sam Taylor-Bould, Epicor

Marketing Excellence Award

  • Joanna Morfield, Southern Sheeting
  • Lana Templeton, Murdock Builders Merchants
  • Rebecca Fortescue-Halliwell, ForgeFix
  • Tammy Tidmarsh, Long Rake Spar

Commenting on the nominations, BMF CEO, John Newcomb said: "It is often said that building materials is a people business, which is why it is important to recognise outstanding individuals for their commitment, innovation and achievements that contribute to the success of their respective businesses. I am delighted that the BMF can play its part in celebrating those who are making such a positive impact in our sector."

The winners will be revealed at the annual BMF Members Awards Dinner on 17 September at the Belfry Hotel and Resort.
