Actis has appointed Jake Wilson as its new Area Sales Manager for the south east and London to help merchants, builders and specifiers in the capital and the home counties.
Wilson, who has an MA in international HR and a degree in international business management, will be offering technical advice, product guidance and on site support to distributors, merchants, architects and builders.
He says the combination of his academic background and previous work in sales for car hire giant Enterprise has provided him with skills essential for his new role. "My MA taught me how people think, what motivates them, and how to communicate clearly with different personalities and working styles," he explained.
"At Enterprise I had to understand the customer's situation quickly, ask the right questions, and recommend the best option for them, not just the most obvious one. That taught me how to listen properly and tailor solutions, a mindset essential in insulation sales, where customers rely on you for clarity, technical guidance and confidence that they're choosing the right system for their project.
"I was drawn to Actis because it's a company that genuinely pushes the boundaries of what insulation can achieve. The Hybrid reflective technology is a great example of innovation with a real purpose. It isn't just a clever product, it's a solution that improves comfort, energy efficiency and long term performance.
"Actis pairs this innovation with a clear commitment to its customers. Through technical support, training and tools like the U value simulator, the company makes it easy for builders, designers and homeowners to make informed decisions. It shows that Actis understands the responsibility that comes with working in a sector that directly affects people's homes, wellbeing and energy costs."
