St Andrews Timber & Building Supplies appointed Jamie Kerr as the new Branch Manager of its Edinburgh flagship store, to replace Richard Harley, who is retiring.
Kerr brings three decades of industry experience to the role at the Prestonfield facility. He previously worked for Firstbase Timber and Keyline, and joins the company having spent 16 years as part of the management team at Thornbridge Timber.
He will be tasked with overseeing the continued growth and development of St Andrews' flagship branch in the capital, focusing on product offering, customer base and systems operations.
MD Ronnie Robinson said: "Prestonfield has grown from a small branch to our largest one now turning over upwards of £10 million. It has a great mix of house builders, everyday tradesman and local DIY enthusiasts and Jamie has exciting plans to further grow and develop what was our first facility in Edinburgh in 2002.
"I have known Jamie for over 20 years and have always admired his knowledge, organisation skills and keen mind. We are delighted to have Jamie's experience and personality on board. He is great fun to be around and our HQ is in very safe hands."
Kerr added: "I'm hugely customer driven, passionate about the industry and always keen to learn about new products. I am a stickler for organisation and very meticulous. I'm very much looking forward to developing, strengthening and improving the powerhouse of our biggest branch while ensuring we all have a happy and fun environment to work in."
