Wavin has announced the appointment of Maxine Cornelius as Commercial Director UK & Ireland.
Wavin has appointed Cornelius to lead its UK and Ireland sales operations, with a clear brief to strengthen support for installers and merchants. Overseeing the full Building & Infrastructure range, she will focus on delivering cohesive customer engagement, and a commercial strategy designed to help the trade grow sustainably.
Cornelius joins from City Plumbing, bringing extensive merchant-side expertise. During her time as Managing Director for sales in the business, she played a pivotal role in driving growth and commercial performance. Prior to this, she spent 15 years at Twyford Bathrooms, where she held several senior leadership roles, and made history in 1994 as the company's first female Area Sales Manager.
As a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Cornelius is deeply committed to supporting minority groups within the construction industry. She is an active member of the Construction Inclusion Coalition, which Wavin is a strategic partner of, and a co-founder of the Elevate Network – an initiative dedicated to empowering women in the construction sector.
