ERA, the home security and fenestration component providers, has expanded its in-house engineering capabilities with the appointment of Stephen Wright as its new Engineering Project Manager.

Wright, who is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, will be responsible for managing the execution of new product development, in addition to existing engineering projects, to ensure they are delivered efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

With over 34 years’ experience in automotive component engineering, Wright joins ERA from Magna Closures, where he held the position of Senior Platform Engineer and Project Manager. His appointment follows the promotion of Matthew King as Head of Engineering at the beginning of the year.

Commenting on his appointment, Wright said: “This is an exciting time to join ERA as it continues to develop and enhance its design and manufacturing capabilities to meet the needs of its diverse customer base.

“There is a comprehensive range of new innovations launching throughout the year across both hardware and smart security, and I’m looking forward to working closely with the engineering and design teams to ensure their successful implementation and delivery.”

As part of his new role, Wright will be working in partnership with King across all areas of the business, including ERA’s UKAS accredited test house, to ensure every product delivers first class performance and durability.
