UK wheelbarrow manufacturer Haemmerlin has recently acquired 35 new stockists after becoming a supplier to independent buying group IBC.

“When we decided to run this promotion through IBC we were hoping to obtain a few new stockists, but never thought we would get as much success as we have,” said Haemmerlin’s managing director Owen Evans. “The relationship that Haemmerlin has developed with IBC has been extremely positive from the start. The proactive approach of IBC in helping not only their members but also their approved suppliers has given us a great deal of confidence for the future.”

John Brett, IBC’s sales director, added: “We are delighted not only to see such a tremendous growth in Haemmerlin sales through IBC members, but to be promoting such market-leading brands within our group. From the results we’ve been getting, we can see the construction industry is getting stronger. We are thrilled that Haemmerlin has been receiving such great results and we are working hard with all of our suppliers to ensure that we can get the same results throughout our membership.”

IBC recently announced its 150th member and has now surpassed 160 members in its drive to represent as many independent merchants across the UK as possible. To find out more, visit the group's website at
