New MKM Derby branch aiming to be the ‘pride of the park’ after official opening

Derby trade and public now have a first-class, customer-focused merchant on their doorstep.

The UK’s largest independent builders’ merchant, MKM Building Supplies, has successfully opened its Derby branch at Pride Park, with help from Derby County Football Club legend Roger Davies.

The company kicked-off celebrations with a special launch event where customers had the chance to bag themselves one of ten signed shirts from the ex-Derby striker, as well as pick up free merchandise and a complimentary breakfast. Visitors also took part in a challenge on the store’s permanent putting green, where they had the chance to win a £250 MKM voucher.

The well-attended event highlighted MKM Derby’s hole-in-one offering to local builders, contractors, landscapers, heating and plumbing installers and the general public for all their building and DIY needs.

The branch, which is conveniently located on Pride Park, has created 16 new jobs in the local community, with more expected once the branch is further established. 

The branch combines MKM’s product range with a state-of-the-art kitchen and bathroom showroom, providing a one-stop-shop for building and DIY related products and home renovations, all under one roof.
