WOKINGHAM: Heating solutions supplier Remeha has named David Cook as its new UK domestic sales director.

“I am delighted to be heading up the sales division at Remeha,” said Mr Cook. “Our growth strategy is focused on the one-off installer channel through independent merchants. With the high efficiency Avanta boiler range and Remeha Sola, the recent solar thermal addition, we have a competitive, added value product offering to meet the needs of both the installer and the end-user. What is more, as part of a major heating group, we can look forward to future investment and innovation, while our aftersales service remains second to none.”

Prior to this appointment, Mr Cook was with Baxi Group for 14 years, joining initially as area contracts manager in London, then heading up various regional sales divisions before launching the Main brand in 2005, and becoming responsible for the Baxi brand nationally in 2007.

In 2009 De Dietrich Remeha and Baxi Group merged to form BDR Thermea. The BDR Thermea Group is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of high quality, heating systems and services with UK brands that include Remeha, Baxi, Potterton and Main.

“This is a time of exciting opportunities and challenges for the heating industry given the current economic climate and increasing fuel costs,” said Mr Cook. “I’m fortunate to be working with such excellent, energy efficient products and am looking forward to using my experience to promote them and the Remeha brand.”
