Alsford Timber & Builders Merchant and Welling United Football Club have announced a new partnership, bringing together two organisations with deep roots in the local community.
Welling United has long maintained that its identity extends beyond football, placing significant importance on its community, local partnerships and the individuals who contribute to its continued success. This vision aligns closely with Alsford, a business that has served communities across the region since 1882 and has built a reputation for quality, expertise and customer service.
The partnership was established on a foundation of shared values, with both organisations recognising the importance of community engagement and long-term local investment. Welling United sought a partner that understood the value of strong community connections and shared its ambition for future growth, qualities the club believes are reflected throughout the Alsford organisation.
Rather than being viewed as a traditional sponsorship arrangement, the collaboration aims to create meaningful opportunities and positive outcomes for the people and communities both organisations serve. By combining their local knowledge, influence and resources, Welling United and Alsford hope to strengthen their impact across the area.
As part of the partnership launch, a new community advertising campaign will be unveiled in the coming weeks. It is designed to celebrate the people at the heart of both organisations, highlighting the individuals who help shape the club and the wider community.
From players, coaches and volunteers to supporters, staff, partners, local businesses and families, the campaign will showcase the thousands of people whose collective contributions make Welling United what it is today.
Welling United has expressed its delight at welcoming Alsford into the club's family and looks forward to working closely with Welling Branch Manager Jack Jones and the wider Alsford team as both organisations continue to strengthen community ties and drive positive local engagement.
