The business can provide verified carbon data to support customers’ whole-life carbon reporting, and offer lower-carbon specification guidance and product alternatives.
The UK's leading civils and drainage specialist, Keyline, has retained the landmark PAS 2080:2023 accreditation for carbon management in infrastructure. Keyline Civils Specialist is the only civils merchant in the UK to hold this accreditation.
In 2025, Keyline became the UK's first civils merchant to achieve PAS 2080:2023, demonstrating that it measures, manages and reduces carbon emissions across its supply chain.
To receive the accreditation an organisation must implement a Carbon Management System, demonstrate its operation through documentation and internal audit, and undergo independent third party verification.
The globally recognised accreditation means that Keyline Civils Specialist can provide verified carbon data to support customers' whole-life carbon reporting, and offer lower-carbon specification guidance and product alternatives.
Keyline Civils Specialist, Managing Director, Huw Jenkins said: "By retaining this accreditation, our customers can be absolutely confident in our commitment to sustainability and that we are actively monitoring and measuring carbon throughout our supply chain.
"By using Keyline Civils Specialist, customers can access verified carbon data and lower-carbon product alternatives. This supports whole-life carbon outcomes which can benefit companies engaging in major public sector procurement."
PAS 2080:2023 is a globally recognised standard for holistic whole-life carbon management, providing a universal framework for measuring, reducing and reporting carbon emissions across project and asset life cycles. It looks at intelligent design, construction and use of materials, paying particular attention to the retrofitting of existing stock and use of nature-based solutions.
Originally launched in 2016, the accreditation was revised in 2023 with its scope expanded from infrastructure to encompass the full built environment.
