LONDON: Actor, presenter and impressionist, Chris Barrie will be bringing his special brand of wit to this year's Builders' Merchants Awards for Excellence ceremony at the Lancaster London on Friday 23 November.

Best known to his fans as Rimmer of long-running TV series, Red Dwarf, he has also starred on the big screen as Hilary, Angelina Jolie's very capable butler in the Tomb Raider franchise, but to many he will be remembered as Gordon Brittas, the most irritating manager in the history of the British leisure centre industry.

Chris Barrie is no stranger to big events. He has hosted over 200 galas and awards ceremonies over the last few years.

He joins an Awards hall of fame of presenters that have ranged from Steve Rider and Nick Knowles to Lawrence Dallaglio.

Whether you are on the shortlist or not, make a date in your diary to attend this year's event at the Lancaster London on Friday 23 November.

The Builders' Merchants Awards for Excellence is an event solely dedicated to the UK merchant industry, uniting its community and celebrating its outstanding achievements.
