Kerakoll UK Ltd has announce the completion of the installation of windows, doors, wall cladding, and solar panels at its new plant in Preston.
Phase 1 of the project includes the creation of a distribution centre, research and development centre and training campus, allowing Kerakoll to showcase its products and systems.
The new facility is expected to support Kerakoll’s continued expansion across the UK and Northern Europe. Building completion and handover is programmed for November 2026.
The site is being constructed to BREEAM standards with a predicted score of very good, with 2360m² of photovoltaic panels installed on the roof, generating an estimated 340MWh per year, and saving 65 tons per year in CO2 emissions.
The building has also been developed to allow rainwater harvesting with a capacity of 30,000m³, serving the toilets in the main offices, giving an estimated water saving of 3000l/day.
