Siniat has increased the size of its technical services team to boost responsiveness, especially around on-site project support to assist compliant design and installation.
Providing information and advice on the accurate use, specification and installation of Siniat drywall solutions, the technical services team already works with a wide range of customers from architects and contractors, to builders’ merchants and installers.
The expansion of the technical services team is designed to support a ‘right first time’ approach to building materials specification and product installation, designing competency into construction projects from the early stages.
It follows a survey among customers that showed an increased demand for technical support throughout project lifecycles.
The expanded technical services team is headed up by Head of Technical Services Lisa Davies. She said expanding the team has enabled Siniat to develop a more efficient response system so customers can access the information and on-site help they need in a timely way.
“We always aim to respond as quickly as possible and meet the needs of our customers by supporting them in overcoming problems through selecting the right system, solutions and advice,” Davies explained.
“We serve a wide market and the support we provide ranges from choice of board for a one-off project to complex installation of systems on a high risk building. In expanding the team we have differentiated the response teams to ensure the correct support is available as quickly as possible.
“Customers can get in touch with our team through email, the website, our virtual assistant chat bot and our telephone helplines, so we are dealing with a huge amount of traffic. By expanding the team we can ensure we are directing our most experienced professionals to the more complex technical issues, which might need additional design details or a site visit.
“We are also able to raise awareness of the tools available to our customers 24/7 via the website such as the Knowledge Base and ‘how to’ guides and videos. With early collaboration and knowledge sharing, the aim is to help customers avoid costly design errors, improve understanding and support efficiency.”
Issues typically raised with the team include correct installation, design accuracy, warranty compliance, best practice and building materials test standards.
Davies added: “With changes in regulations such as the Building Safety Act 2022, we are seeing an increase in enquiries from architects and specifiers, looking to ensure projects meet quality, safety and reliability performance standards on paper and in real world applications.
“We want to help our customers find a solution to any issues they are facing. Through this more efficient way of working we aim to support stakeholders in achieving best practice in building safety, and delivering projects on time and on budget.”
